This week, we’re diving into a cultural phenomenon that confuses and frustrates some people from other parts of the world. At least when it comes time to interact with Swedes and perhaps try to make plans with them. We are talking about Swedish politeness and what we call “soft no’s”.

You might have heard people say that Swedes are hard to read, unclear, or even a bit fake. That we don’t say what we mean. I don’t really agree with that, to be honest.
