10. Global Surgery & Science - Barriers, Buildup & Breakthroughs of Pediatric Surgery in Uganda with Dr. Mary Margaret Ajiko

As the seasonal finale is here, we present the first episode of The Swedish Vascular Podcast recorded in english. Tangent with the lack of resources in rural Soroti, we got our hands on a used microphone and recorded an interview with Dr. Mary Margaret Ajiko in Uganda.

Syster Margeret is a general surgeon with interest in paediatric surgery. Her PhD projects are related to epidemiology of paediatric surgical conditions and to what extent the need for surgical procedures is meet in Uganda. Combined, the paediatric surgery research will provide evidence that can be used to increase and improve paediatric surgical services in Uganda and other countries facing similar challenges.
